Pic #1 The lion was poised on the other side of the horizontal branch behind Sally when the whole thing happened. There are two very deep prints there because it got up on it's hind legs to catch the shoe, thus pressing them deep. In the excitement of the moment I forgot to take a picture of that. These are the tracks where it really peeled out after snatching Sally's hiking shoe.

Pics #2 and #3 For a true sense of the track size, you must remember that Sally's hand is about 1 foot about one foot above the print. So, the print seems smaller than it actually is. My sense was it's paws were about the size of my hands, minus two knuckles.
